Hope all is well with everyone. First, we would like to say thank you for your indulgence and we appreciate all of your hard work and effort in trying to bring the “2010 Cape Verde an Reunion” an event to remember.
Our goal was to bring you a weekend of Cape Verde an Cultural Awareness. Evidently, this was not the time for such an event to happen. This world wide economy has crippled many hard working families and has caused a rippling effect with personal finances. Many of us are still unraveling from the devastation and some are still unsure about their future personal finances.
We were hoping and praying the economy would have begun to turn around for many, but that has not been the case. We under estimated the wide spread hardship effect and magnitude of this economic environment, and we apologize if we’ve caused you or your loved ones any inconvenience.
In order to maintain these perks and discounts, we needed
your monetary commitment. That being
said, and due to your lack of response, we regretfully and sadly announce that
we have canceled the “2010 Cape Verde an Reunion”. Your non response to our requests for
monetary commitments was very clear. More importantly, we failed to meet our
contractual obligation deadline for our head count of attendees.
For the few committed attendees that did send in your
monetary commitment, we thank you for your support, but it was just not enough
to meet the numbers of our contractual agreement. We want to thank you and we will immediately
refund your deposits.
Who knows, maybe in the future, we can come together and plan an event that would not be such a hardship.
Again, we apologize and thank you all for your effort.
